The family moved from Nova Scotia in 1896 to Rossland B.C. Canada. He grew to manhood here. He came to Hamilton Montana in 1910 where he was employed by the Bell Telephone. On Dec 23 1912 he was united in marriage to Alta Fay Cloyd of Stevensville. To the union was born four children, Sylvia Marie Grant Mar 3 1914, David Harvey Grant Aug 4 1916, William Ward Grant Nov. 28 1918 and Albert Owen Grant March 23 1921.
