Notes
a. Note:   From records we have found, we know that Henry was born between 1800-1810 in the portion of Rowan County, NC that became Davidson County, and we have been able to find documentation that he married Elizabeth Boeckel before 1829 in Davidson County. Elizabeth was born December 12, 1809 to Anton and Magdalena Rominger Boeckel in what is now Davidson County, NC. (Taken from records of Friedberg Moravian Church.)
We also have documentation for 3 of Henry & Elizabeth Boeckel Brewer's children. The Baptismal Records of Friedberg Moravian Church, Davidson (Forsyth) Co, NC shows two of their children were baptized at Friedberg: Lucinda Brewer, born Sept. 19, 1829 and baptized Jan 10, 1830, and Kelin (Kehlyn) born Aug 31, 1831 was baptized Nov. 13, 1831. Henry and Elizabeth Boeckel were not members of Friedberg Moravian Church but the family of Elizabeth was among the early settlers of Friedberg. The other known child of Henry and Elizabeth was Joseph Henry, b 1838, Davidson Co, NC.
There are Court Records in both Davidson and Forsyth County showing several Deeds and Promissory Notes executed by Henry Brewer that included a John Brewer and William Brewer. Henry is believed to have brothers named John and William. The Deeds executed between 1831 & 1843 proves that both Henry and Elizabeth were living at least through 1843. A promissory Note executed by only Henry dated 1840 proves that Henry was living as late as 1840 in either Davidson or Forsyth Co. (With the uncertainty of where the dividing line was between these two counties after Forsyth County was formed in 1850, it is often confusing as to which county the Brewers were residing at the time.) The Promissory Note executed by Henry shows that he put up as collateral everything he owned even his kitchen utinsils, crops not yet harvested, tools, mules, etc. There is no record of Henry or Elziabeth after 1840 and it is uncertain if one or the other died or if they left NC. The 1850 census of Forsyth County shows their son, Kehlyn, was livinig with a Hartman Family, and the 1860 census shows their son, Joseph Henry was living with a Rominger family. Joseph's mother, Elizabeth was connected to the Romingers.
I have been unable to find the graves of either Henry or Elizabeth. Because it is known they lived in the Muddy Creek Area of Davidson County that extended to the Forsyth County line, it is possible they are both buried in the old Muddy Creek Cemetery. Searching the cemetery, I found many graves without any grave markers and some grave markers were unreadable. It is also possible that they moved to another state.
