This is an apartment building with a store on the first floor, and was bought by its former store tenant, Alphonse Maes.

Note: ast 35 years died in the hospital yesterday. He was born in Meulebeke, Flandre Orientale, Belgium. Owner of the Cleveland Tavern in Georgetown, he was a member of the Bartenders' Union No. 240. He was a veteran member of Seattle Aerie No.1, Eagles. Funeral arrangements by the Georgetown Undertaking Company. Rosary Friday, 8 PM and Solemn Requiem Mass Saturday, 10 AM both at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, King, Washington. Surviving are his widow, Marie ‘Mary’ Coralie, at the family home, 7100 Beacon Avenue; a son Roy Joseph Maes Bellevue; two daughters, Mrs. Carl McEwen and Mrs. Nick (Hardoline) Cerjance, Seattle; six brothers, Valentine Maes, Seattle, Ben Maes, Alaska, Henry and Remi Maes, Belgium; Louis Maes Taylor, and Alberic ‘Albert’ Joseph Maes, Idaho; and five sisters, Mrs. August (Lucia) Desmet, Gaston, Oregon; Mrs. Pete (Emma) VanAsche, Cornelius, Oregon; Mrs. Eliza Busche, Seattle; and two sisters in Belgium, Mrs. Theophielus Josephus (Martha) Vannieuwenhuyse and Mrs. Amanda Van Den Brouchke.
