I don't know who he married but according to Aunt Goldie they lost several children. He and his brother, Linford, were avid and accomplished musicians and played the mandolin.

Note: Seattle Daily Times - September 22 1965 Private services and cremation for Lawrence A. O'Brien, 82, of 500 Wall Street, were held at the Bonney-Watson Central Chapel. Mr. O'Brien died Thursday. He was manager of the Barningham Mortgage Co., Inc. with which he had been associated 23 years. Mr. O'Brien was born in Iowa. He resided in Montana and the Dakotas before he came here in 1922. Surviving are his wife, Arlie Alice; a daughter, Mrs. Roy J. Maes, Bellevue, a son, James O'Brien, Seattle; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
