Daughter of James Hobert Stroud and Jewel Lavanda Cearley
Zelda was Moms only daughter and died of flu like symptoms before her first birthday, the family felt the loss deeply. This statement made by XL Stroud.
Isla Stroud said that all of Mom's babies were delivered a month early and had lung trouble in the first month of their life. jrs
Zelda is buried next to her infant brother Harrold in the Chico cemetery (42nd row from the center east entrance, 5th plot on north side of lane) marked by a small double marker. Graves to either side are filled by Cearley's and Foster's. Mom's family. Graves visited by Isla and JR Stroud October 22, 1994.
