1820 Landed in New York on a sailing ship took the stage to Philadelphia then to Pittsburgh.
Bought 100 acres with Charles Austen,
Richard Pearce on west side of Pine Creek, ran a mill.
Charles Austen on east side of Pine Creek Lumbered and built log house They Returned to England in Fall of 1820 to sell property. Returned to New York end of April 1821 then by Stage to Philadelphia Horse and wagon to Pittsburgh
