a. Note:   George farmed at Rockford, MN, his father's homestead. He built a model of the homestead cabin and barn, which he gave to his son Leonard Alby Bucklin for use under the Christmas tree. This model is now in the possession of Sigrid Zuger Bucklin, the divorced wife of Leonard Herbert Bucklin.
  George moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he was a plasterer and stone mason. He was always proud that he worked for a time on the temple of the Mormons in Salt Lake City, UT, although he was a Methodist. In Minneapolis he lived his later years at 2423 Freemont Ave., which was the family home of his unmarried daughters until the 1950's.
