Note: Buried in Waterville, ME in the Ware family plot next to her 2nd husband, Henry Hastings ("Harry") Ware. While her first husband, Carll, was alive she was very active in social affairs and worked part time as court recorder while her husband tried cases. After his death, she supported her family doing secretarial work. She worked for the USDA Farm Bureau for many years and at several locations. Her youngest son, Owen, went to live with his grandfather, William ("Will") Record at his sporting camps in Carrabassett, ME. After her other sons, Carll and Albion, were out on their own, Owen and Irene were re-united at Carrabassett in 1949. Valerie, who had inherited Will's estate, deeded No. 1 camp and one acre to Irene. Irene and Owen lived there until 1951 when they moved to Oakland and took up residence with Harry Ware. She loved the outdoors and hunted and fished. She and Harry spent most of their years of retirement living at the Carrabassett camp but in later years took an apartment in Kingfield, ME. For several summers they helped the Storeys run the West Carry Pond Camps in Eutis, ME.
