Notes
a. Note:   Born on Fenderson Farm Route 22, Scarborough, ME. Graduate of Gorham Normal School. Taught in Langtown in the 1-room school (that later became a Game Warden's camp) and in Rangeley schools. Later read law and practiced in Farmington, ME where he became Judge of Municipal Court and then Judge of Probate for Franklin County. Was a co-founder of the Franklin County Power and Light Company in which he held considerable stock. After his death the stock options disappeared. His wife, Harriet, instituted a law suit against the Sturtevant family for control of the company but lost in a maize of litigations and never received a penny from the company, which was later sold to the Central Maine Power Co. The law suit became a textbook case in the law journals.
