Notes
a. Note:   Buried in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Kingfield, ME with his second wife Edith. Served as motorman for the Portland Railroad Co. 1906-1909 and farmed briefly in Standish, ME. In his youth he was noted for his strength and was readily challenged to a fist fight. Moved to Strong, ME for brief employment in the toothpick mill with brothers James and Frank and wives. With second wife, Edith, purchased land in Carrabassett and established Record's Sporting Camps on the Carrabassett River. With the help of brothers Frank and James, built a house, log cabins along the river, and a store and dining room on Rt. 27. During the winter the camps were closed up and Will and the family traveled to Orlando, FL where he owned a cottage and small orange grove that yielded supplemental income. On one of the winter trips he was involved in a near fatal car accident. He maintained the sporting camp business until his death in 1940. He died from stomach cancer. His daughter Valerie operated the camps until her death in 1954. Her husband, Ralph Gould, inherited all the property and operated the camps until he sold to Leo Tague. All buildings are gone today, having burned or fallen from disrepair. As of the year 2000, the Fenderson family maintains the cabin on the site of Camp No. 1, which was deeded to Irene by Valerie (half-sisters). The original cabin, which burned in 1958, was at one time a dry shed for a shingle mill that was nearby.
