 THOMASSON family who came into AL in 1839 & settled in Covington Co. c.1856 there are 11 children and later
 descendants have maintained their Christian & pioneer spirit throughout the U.S. This monument, erected at their
 approximate burial site, was dedicated at the 3d annual THOMASSON reunion 23 AUG 1980, by their descendants,
 that the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born. THOMASSON children:
 Thomas Roach, Trezevant Fernandes, Lorenza Marion, James Franklin, William Monroe, Cornelius Starr, John
 Randolph, Madison Jefferson Sylvanus, Mary Ann Abbagail, & Charles Clawson.
