a. Note:   Tough, silent man. Worked as a carpenter for the one firm all his life but was fired a few months before he was due to retire. Frequently worked for his son Joe in Irish Printer until he was about 84. Loved his pipe, was very careful with money; on his deathbed he asked one of his daughters for change which she had forgotten to give him about 50 years previously! Left about �5,000 in his will! Had silver fob watch which went to his grandson Conor.
