Note: Gertrude Scott, 95, Independence, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at the Rosewood Health Center, where she lived.
Mrs. Scott was born in Craig, Okla., and had lived in this area for the past 26 years. She had been a pastry cook for various restaurants for many years. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Scott in 1953, a daughter, Delma in 1929, and a grandson, Robert S. Anderson in 1991.
Her survivors include one daughter, Margaret 'Bunny' Anderson, Lee's Summit; four grandchildren, Paul Anderson, Lee's Summit, Lisa Colman, Belton, Mo., Kathy Key, Phoenix, Ariz., and Judy Van Biber, Independence; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City. The family suggests contributions to The Salvation Army. Arrangements are under the direction of the Speaks Midtown Chapel.
