Notes
a. Note:   According to Marcel Trudels's "Catalogue des immigrants 1632-1662" quoted in "Histoire des Desilets" by Roger Cloutier, Anne LeNeuf du Herisson arrived in Quebec in 1636 with her father, Michel LeNeuf, sieur du Herisson. She was four years of age. The "annual fleet" of 1636 arrived on the 11th of June. It contained 91 immigrants. The family must have been well-to-do as they arrived with considerably more luggage and equipment than most of the immigrants.
Anne was the "fille naturelle" (illegitimate child) of Michel LeNeuf and an unknown mother. He became a wealthy landowner with many large tracts of land that were granted by the French king.
