She states that his death certificate lists Marshall Oliver as his father
and that his gravestone says he was born in Caroline Co, VA
Apparently remarried.
Apparently fought for the North in the Civil War, although a brother
fought for the South.
According to his descendant he was sent to Mr. Turbull to learn Saddle
Making in the 1830s.
There is a James R. Turbull in Clark Co, KY in 1840
with young men in his household. In 1850 he is listed as a saddler with
3 young men 13-30, listed as saddlers there and his daughters.
