  Obituary: Democratic Messenger, 06 Oct 1887:.
 "Fannie Maria, a pioneer of Sandusky County, wife of Hon. J. R. Francisco, died at her residence on Justice Street, Saturday morning, October 1, from a nervous complaint after an illness of almost three years. Mrs. Francisco was born in Onadaga County, New York, October 11, 1823, and moved with her father Oliver Grover to York Township, this County, about 1830. In 1840 her father moved to Ballville Township, and shortly afterward she was married to Mr. Francisco. Funeral services were held Monday at Union Church in Ballville and remains were interred in McGormley Cemetery. Mrs. Francisco leaves her husband and five children to mourn her loss."
