Information below from Washburn, Geo., Fifty Years in Constantinople and Recollections of Robert College, Cambridge, Boston and NY: Houghton Mifflin & Co, The Riverside Press, 1909, Page 180: Professor Ormiston came to Robert College in 1885 to take Dr. Albert L. Long's place for one year, but he remained as an instructor and later became Professor of Chemistry, Geology and Mineralogy. Page 123: During the month of Noveber 1915, occurred the death of Professor William Ormiston, and this was sharply felt, for he had served the college for many years."
