a. Note:   His obituary published 27 Jan 1921 in The Guelph Mercury reads as follows: "Death of Robert Orr. Robert Orr, one of the early residents of Guelph, died yesterday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. T.W. Aldrich, 160 Argyle street, Toronto. He was born in Scotland and settled in Guelph, where he remained for 45 years. Last summer Mr. And Mrs. Orr celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Orr, at the age of 87, is still in good health. Mr. Orr was active in Masonic circles. He was a life member and a Past Master of Speed Lodge A.F. & A.M., Guelph. He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert of Swan River, Man.; four daughters, Mrs. T.W. Aldrich, Mrs. J. Lawson and Mrs. James Ravell, of Toronto, and by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren."
