  Obituary
"The Shelbyville Republican," (Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN) January 20, 1962 (page 2) LILLIE ENSMINGER DIES AT 100
Services Saturday For Lifetime County Woman
"Mrs. Lillie M. Ensminger, 100, of Waldron, who was the oldest member of the Waldron Baptist Church, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at her residence in the Fay Reed Apartments. She had been in failing health for the past three weeks, and death was attributed to complications."
"Born in Shelby County on March 31, 1861, she was a daughter of Alfred G. and Minerva Thompson. Mrs. Ensminger first was married to Julian Rucker who died in 1887 (sic), and a daughter born to this union, Mrs. Ezra (Gertrude) Morgan, died in 1930 (sic). Her second husband, Andy Ensminger, whom she married in 1905, died in 1928 (sic--1926)."
(Compiler's Note-The census records for Alfred G. Thompson of St. Paul, Noble Township, Shelby Co., IN for July 8, 1860, indicate that the fourth child of Alfred G. and Minerva Burns Thompson was one Eliza L. M. Thompson, aged 3/12 and a female. Thus, it would seem that Lillie M. Thompson was born in March of 1860 rather than March of 1861)
"A niece, Mrs. Glen Morgan of Woodland Hills, Calif., a great-niece and two great-nephews survive. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. A lifetime Shelby County resident, Mrs. Ensminger was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps of this city."
"Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Carmony Funeral Home in this city. Rev. Donald Lambert will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday."
