 "The Shelbyville Republican," (Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN) December 21, 1936 (page 1) FLORA M'CAIN PASSES AWAY
 Waldron Woman, 75, Dies; Funeral Will Be Held Tuesday
  "Mrs. Flora Belle McCain, 75 years old, died suddenly at her home in Waldron Sunday afternoon at 1:10 o'clock, following a heart attack Saturday night."
  "She was born in Liberty township, January 7, 1861, the daughter of John and Louisa Hubbard Ensminger. Practically all her life had been spent in Shelby county. She had lived in Waldron for the past thirty years."
  "On January 13, 1881, Miss Ensminger married John Eck, who died in 1895. One of the two children, Mrs. Pearl Haymond, born to this union survives. A son, Herman Grover, died at the age of 19. In 1905 the deceased married Dr. T. J. McCain, who preceded her in death in 1910 (sic--1917). She was a member of a family of six children."
  "Survivors, besides the daughter, are a brother, Charles Ensminger of Jacksonville, Florida, a former local druggist; four nephews, Brady Meltzer, of Liberty township; Ira McCain (sic--Ira McKay) and Wallace Ensminger of Shelbyville, and Ernest Waggoner, of Newport News, Virginia and a niece, Mrs. Bert [Jessie] Griffey, of Shelbyville."
  "Mrs. McCain was a member of the Waldron Methodist church and of the Eastern Star at Waldron."
  "Funeral services will be held at the home in Waldron at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Amos Bastin, pastor of the Waldron Methodist church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. L. W. Bean, pastor of the Waldron Baptist church. Burial will be in the family lot in Forest Hill cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix & Son, funeral directors."
  "Friends may call at the late home any time after four o'clock Monday evening."
