a. Note:   Gottlieb's occupation was a blacksmith, he owned 8 acres of land. He was
 baried at the Ashboro Cemetery which was laid out and dedicated to the burial
 of the dean on lands of George Moss, Sr. a half mile west of the site of the
 town of Ashboro. The first interment was that of Banoni Moss in 1838.
  He went to get certified as a blacksmith in Brazil, Indiana
 which is the county seat. The German word for Blacksmith is "Schmied". He was
 33 years old when he left Murrhardt, Wurttemberg, Germany. He left on January
 8th, 1868 on a ship called "SS Germania" piloted by CPT Schwensen. They arrived
 in New York on January 23, 1868. The German city Murrhardt is located in the
 Federal State Baden-Wurttemberg, South-East from Heilbronn; North-east from
 Stuttgart, East of Backnang.
