1. Title:   eep
Note:   Miriam Painter Ruhl's 1 Aug 1812 date of birth, calculated from her headstone inscription, appears to be incorrect. Reported by Harold Painter, The Painter Family (1975), p. 25, to be her parents' eldest child, born in 1809. This falls between her parents' 2 Jun 1808 marriage, and her next-younger sibling Hamilton's reliably reported 24 Nov 1810 birth. Miriam and Hamilton were born in Virginia--probably on the Painter family farm in Frederick Co.--before their family migrated to Ohio around 1812.
