Note: ] On 28 Oct 1907, Maria (aka Mary) Lucente, age 18 and single, arrived at Ellis Island aboard the ship Europa with her father, Vincenzo, age 45, and her adopted brother, Anacleto Antonio Lucente (aka Paul Lucento), age 11. Their destination was the home of Giovanni Ruffo in Tacoma, Washington. Giovanni was stated to be the brother-in-law of Vincenzo, but that relationship is questionable. Actually, Giovanni was the 1st cousin of Vincenzo's 1st wife, Filomena Muto, who was Mary's mother and who had died a few years earlier. At some point, probably shortly after arrival in Tacoma, Vincenzo returned to Italy where his 2nd wife, Rachele DeMiglio, had remained.
