 Hope all's well. How I got to make a connection across the pond is I researched Henry Pallister and any marriage to a Sarah anybody. I came up with info on Henry Pallister marrying a Sarah Sharp in 1844 and later christening records and such giving me Leah as well as her brother George who turn up in Osprey Twp. (she marrying a Duncan McBride in 1873 giving her age as 20 and that she was the daughter of Henry and Sarah Pallister. In one find it listes an Edward Pallister as being the grandson of Henry. Most of the UK stuff I gleaned from the Genuki files. Any census was from the Thorner, West Riding area of Yorkshire, England. And in digging deeper I may have come up with Henry's dad as being a Levi Pallister OR Palaster ( a new twist?). Henry was born in 1822 and was christened in 1823. Levi Palaster had 2 sons that I know of (again thanx to genuki!) Henry and who I imagine to be an older brother also named Levi. It may have be he who changed the name. Levi Palaster was born in 1766 and married Jane Carolina Hardy. I don't know when Levi was born (yet!) but he married a woman named Hannah Hudson and fathered a child whom he too named Levi. I've got the dates etc. in notes scattered all over my workarea. (email from John Tracy 4/10/2001)
