On the 3rd of March of 1601, in Alayor, Juan Palliser married Margarita Alberti Abrines, daughter of Juan and Juana, tenant of the estate "Bini-Calsig." The Rev. Monseor Juan Hernandez conducted the ceremony [Pbro. ???], with master "Perot" Montagut, cobbler, and master Rafael Triay, tailor, acting as witnesses. Juan Palliser died in Alayor on the 26th of March of 1663. According to his death certificate he was a "bracer," that is, a day labourer working the land. He received the last rites and disposed his pious works aided by the priest who attended him in his last hour; naming executors of his will his wife Margarita Alberti and his son Martin Palliser Alberti. His wish was to be buried in the church of the Franciscan convent of San Diego in Alayor. He designated the amount of two pounds for the expenses of his burial, funeral, and masses celebrated for the suffrage of his soul. We have not found his widow's death certificate.)
