George is not found in the 1900 census. Son George Jr., is found with his mother in the 1900 census, same county and city. She has remarried a John Bever.
1920 Census Pennsylvania, Luzerne Co., Wilkes Barre Ward 15. George is living with his nephew John M. Mailander (son of John and Mary). Census says that he is 65 years old and a widow. Says he is a laborer contractor. Naturalized citizen born in Germany.
He must have divorced Carrie sometime before the 1900 census.
