When the company changed to I.B.M. machines I was put in this department to do the payroll and other operations mechanically. The last two or three years that I worked for J&L I was Supervisor of Property Accounting. My cousin George Yorty was born just four days after my birth and I guess his mother, (my autn) took me to live with them in Centerville. I guess I stayed with them for two or three years, I do not remember any of this time I lived there.
My first four years of school I attended the Center School which was about a quarter of a mile from our home on Barneys Run road. This school was closed so I then went to the Centerville grade school and High school where I graduated in 1929.
