!She was baptised Jensine Caroline MADSEN, taking her name from her father's first name.
!She is listed among the LDS Converts from the Scandanavian Mission, and emigrated from Denmark on 30 May 1857 on the ship Tuscarawa. The family (Mads, Maren, Martha, and Jensine) arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 03 July 1857. Her sister Minnie was born in 1860 in Burlington, Des Moines Co., Iowa. Whether the family ever went further west from Iowa is unknown at this time (May 2005).

!Her death from the South Dakota death certifiacte for Jensine. She is buried in the Soldier's Home Cemetery at Hot Springs, South Dakota. I have personally seen her grave and tombstone.
