Note: Married, (Sep.29,1806 Wythe Co., VA), Christina Staley. His place of burial remains unknown, although there seems every reason to suspect the Royal Oak or Upper Indiana Cemeteries, both near Bruceville, Knox Co., IN. [Especially the for
Note: mer, since children were buried there in 1853 and 1861.] If he was, however, any stone has either been lost; become illegible; or never replaced an original wooden marker. Son Martin S Steffey, (Nov.1824 Wythe Co.,VA - Mar.11,1908 Wythe Co., VA), is buried in the Kimberling Cemetery, Wythe Co., VA. Children Anna and Solomon still unaccounted for. The latter apparently died young.
