a. Note:   The 1880 federal census for Cass Co., Missouri shows that she and her mother were born in Kentucky and her father born in Virginia. Mother of Carrie Nation The records of the Missouri Asylum for the insane, No. 3, shows that she had been there 3 yrs. After her death the statement is given(no source for this statement) Mrs Moore's grandmother on her mother's side, her mother. brother and sister had all suffered from insanity. The records show that she was unusually talkative and that she labored under the belief that she was a relative of Queen Victoria.
