a. Note:   Source: Pleasant Hill Historical Society, news article dated February 26, 1953 Mrs E. A. Browne Dies Mrs. H. B. Edelen learned yesterday of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. E. A. (Lula) Browne at the family home in Long Beach, Calif. She is survived by her husband and by several brothers and sisters in Oklahoma City, where she will be buried. BROWNE -- Mrs. Edmund A. Browne, of 728 Elm Ave., formerly with the trust department of Farmers & Merchants Bank for many years, and an active leader in the First Presbyterian Church and Group F of the Ebell Club, died Tuesday. She had lived here since 1923. She also was prominent in the Women's Republican Study Club. Surviving are her husvand, two brothers, Howard and Neil Dikeman; three sisters, Mrs. S. S. Putney, Miss Helen Dikeman and Mrs. J. M. Reichard. Service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Mottell's Chapel, Dr. Reuben Field Pieters officiating. The 1920 federal census for Delta Co., Colorado shows that her father was born in Vermont and her mother born in New York. The 1930 federal census for Los Angeles Co., California shows that her father was born in Vermont and her mother born in New York.
