Note: Rich Bromell April 13, 1927 รณ July 9, 2005 Graveside services will be Tuesday for former 70-year Tracy resident Rich Bromell, 78, who died Saturday at San Miguel Villa in Concord. Born in Kansas City, Mo., Mr. Bromell was a resident of Manteca the last five years and previously had lived in Tracy 70 years. He owned and operated Bromell Floor Covering in Tracy and was also a private pilot and hay baler. He was a past president of the Optimist Club in Tracy and a member of the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army and Merchant Marine. A cowboy at heart, he loved roundups and cattle drives. Mr. Bromell was an avid sportsman. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family and friends were a big part of his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Bromell is survived by his sons, Eric Bromell and his wife, Patty, of Concord and Kirk Bromell and his wife, Pam, of Reno, Nev.; six grandchildren, Cory, Brent, Richie, Chad, Julie and Mike; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Geane Bromell, who died in 1994. Tuesday's graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. at Tracy Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Memorial contributions in Mr. Bromell's name may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
