Prospect hill 1912 Merrimac, MA Morrill Lewis, section hand, B. & M. R. R. h. E.Main n. Prospect hill 1914 Merrimac, MA Morrill Lewis, rem. to Providence Living with Son-in-law William Freeman in Mansfield, Mass in 1930 census but not in City Directory for 1935. From Grace (Hepburn) Hurst: "My memories of him were of an old man who was in constant pain with neuralgia. ... The last I knew of Lewis was in connection with the house he owned in East Providence, Rhode Island. It seemed that when he died Aunt Nettie asked my mother if she would collect the rents on the property for Aunt Nettie since we lived the closest. By that time I was in college, in the 1940's. I have no idea when he died and have no knowledge of Marcia Priscilla Smith Morrell". Name and birth date on gravestone with wife's but no death date for him.

Note: t was not recorded in Spencer's book which was written before his death. His wife's inscription is recorded. Most likely Lewis had the stone erected at his wife's death and when he died the additional date was never entered.
