John had an outstanding note from John Reel for the sum of $25.09 dated 14Oct1825 & still outstanding in 1829 when Reel died. The estate records show that John Fortney bought a small bottle for one cent at the Reel estate sale - 1829. In 1851 the debt is deemed 'unrecoverable'. and John & Christine sell land in Trumbull Co. on 11Dec1851 for $350.00 (this is right after the estate of John Reel is settled.)

Reel held a note dated Oct 14, 1825 from him for $25.09 that the estate thought was not recoverable. And when the final account on the estate was settled it was Christina Fortney who got the money, also John Fortney bought one small bottle from the sale of John Reel's personal property for a penny.
