 5.Will of Robert Leavell:
 In the Name of God, Amen, Newberry County, I, Robert Leavell, being we
 ak of body but perfec t and sound in memory and calling to mind the certai
 nty of death and the Uncertainty of lif e in this world, constitute and Or
 dain this my Last Will and Testament, in the first place , I give up my im mortal soul to Almighty God, who gave it to me, and my body to the gra
 ve t o be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter name d, and as for my worldl y goods that God has been pleased to bestow up
 on me I dispose of them in the form and manne r following;: (First) In p
 remises; I lend to my beloved wife, Sarah Leavell, all my househo ld furni
 ture, working tools of all kinds and stock of all kinds also as mu
 ch of my land plant ation as is enclosed in my lines joining Bush Riv
 er up to a Black Corner Tree of Charles Crow s near the upper corn
 er of my plantation from thence strait across to the Spanish Oak tree co r
 ner of John Coles by my spring branch to have and to hold and same and eve
 ry of them durin g the whole of her natural life or widowhood: ITEM: I g
 ive to my son Edward Leavell the abo ve land and plantation not crossing t
 he river being the part that I lent to his mother and wh at of my land th
 at lies on the South side of the River, I give to my son John Leavell al so on e hundred acres where he now lives; ITEM; I firm and bequea
 th to my son Richard Leavell, on e hundred acres of land joining his plant

 6. Robert Leavell was progenitor of the Leavell's in South Carolina, Miss
 issippi, and Texas . He lived in the Bush River Community of Newberry Co ., SouthCarolina in the 1770s. He married Sarah Coles. He is not mention
 ed in his brother's will of 17 Oct 1775' all others are.
