a. Note:   Robert Emmett and Martha lived in and around Southern Tennessee and North Georgia all their married lives. Robert Emmett worked at several professions mostly as Farmer and Timber Cutter.
  Robert and Martha are burried in the Oak Grove Cemetary, in Madisonville, Tennessee.
  Monroe County, Tennessee is where Robert and Martha lived until the year 1936 when they moved to North Georgia. With the exception of Ethel and Marie all of their children were born in Monroe County, Tennessee.
  When Martha died in 1939 Robert never remarried the daughters had the responsibility of housekeeping for the family beginning with Marie until they married and started a home of their own.
  As the genealogist of the Rogers and the youngest son of Robert Emmett it has been at times like trying to pull hen's teeth trying to get family information from some of my relations.
