Note: witnessed bombing of Plymouth during war Met a soldier who was stationed in Plymouth area during war years married him and moved away believed to be Northerner, Mr Wall. A violent marriage forced her to flee, returned home to Plymouth area but was pursued by husband took a job with young son Malcom Wall as housekeeper to Charles James Rowland of Colestocks nr Payhembury. Parents of Ruth Mr&Mrs Skelly once lived at Erneskettle nr Ivybridge around 1958 Her brother Aurther and wife Maud also lived at Erneskettle just a few doors away from Mrs Skelly and later moved to Ivybridge A brother Francis lived at Ivybridge and is believed to have died of cancer he had a wife and family Grandfather Skelly worked in a Quarry and fell into a bottomless mud hole, he was never found Ruth died of lung cancer at Ottery St Mary Hospital late summer 1998 she was cremated at Exeter crematorium and her ashes were scattered in the grounds of the crematorium.
