Note: According to Margaret Craig (her great-granddaughter), Mary Isabel was from County Cork, Ireland. She was daughter of James Johnson of Ireland. Two of her brothers, John Johnson and James Johnson fought in the Civil War. Chris Roque (great-great-grandaughter) has a photo of James Johnson I, and a letter written by John Johnson from the field in the Civil War. Legend has it that both her parents died and she came as a young girl to America and stayed with her family here. At one point she lived in Chebanse, Iroquois Co, IL. (S. of Chicago.)
