Note: Gerda Spiegel, married Fred Brandon, lived in New York City. They had no children. When Gerda came to the US in 1939 by ship she was met at the dock by Gerald Halle, son of Albert and Beate Halle, my father. The first thing she said to my father when she arrived is " Are you marriaged". She gave me a lovely silver bracelet when I was four years old, which I still have this day, 1998. She was a fine and caring person.
