Note: Arizona Republic May 2003 Sterling Haviland Wells, 70, passed away on May 19, 2003 in Prescott, Arizona. He was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. Sterling was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, friend and a confidant to everyone around him. Sterling graduated with a Masters Degree from Seattle Pacific University. After teaching for many years, he moved to Phoenix in the 1960's. He then joined a real estate development firm. His passion was his life long interest in antique cars, especially Packards. Sterling, and a close friend created the 'Packard Club' in Phoenix in 1973. This, along with his family, gave him his true joy in life. Sterling is survived by his wife Claudine, his 6 children, 4 brothers and 1 sister, Memorial services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, at 2pm, Friday, May 23rd. published in the Arizona Republic on 5/22/2003
