a. Note:   Grandson Richard A. Beckenbaugh #3 visited the site of her birth with her. It was in a house near a spring, on the west side of what is now White Pines Forest State Park between Polo and Oregon, IL; turn left on side road after the first stream ford. There is now a road to a camping ground, so it is difficult to determine exactly where the house stood. A picture exists of this house. Middle initial from a business/social card.
