Note: here waere 2 Charles Aireys born in Blackburn in 1875, and a Charles Airy born in Preston in 1876. He would have been 5 in 1881. There was also a Charles Alexander Eyre born in London in 1875. The only Charles Airey I can find in Blackburn in 1881 that seems to fit was the child of Samuel and Martha, and worked in the cotton mills. There was an Alexander Airey, plasterer, born in 1826 who lived in Blackburn. He may have been Samuel`s father - who knows? Master plasterer. Lived in Red House, Lower Darwen 168 Montague Street. There was another Charles Airey living in Lower Darwen at the time. He later married Alice Jane Gibson in 1900. I can`t find any death for either Alice or Jane Airey, so I guess that`s not him... There was a Charles Alexander Airey born in Blackburn in August 1884, son of James Alexander and Margaret.
