  Elizabeth Fones came over to the New World on the ship "Lyon", which had been part of the 1630 Winthrop Fleet. Her fellow passengers included Will Hallett; Jack, son of Governor John Winthrop; and Martha, Elizabeth's sister. Also on the ship was Margaret, the Governor's wife and his youngest children.
