a. Note:   Thomas Seaman was the last of the six sons of Capt. John Seaman to be named among the Patentees of the Town of Hempstead in 1660. He was not taxed in 1683, and in 1685 ranked as a Freeholder of 108 acres. His will is dated November 14, 1722, in which he is described as of Hempstead, and was probated December 29, 1724.
