a. Note:   William was born in El Paso in Union township in Pierce County, Wi. and lived most of his life in Rock Falls,WI. He was a veteran of WWI. William married Edith Schuh on April 30,1923. William and Edith farmed near Rock Falls for many years and upon retirering sold the farm to his son Kenneth and Karen. William and Edith bought a home in the town of Rock Falls. William and Edith celebrated their Golden (50th) wedding anniversary at St.Joseph's Catholic Church,the event hosted by their children. William died of a myocardial infarction and arteriosclerosis according to the death certifcate. He was 78 years old. Funeral services were at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rock Falls,WI. Burial with military honors were held in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rock Falls, WI.
