Note: Witness for the marriage between Herman W. Radle and Phyllis J. Knudtson were Anton A. Bauer and Lucian Radle Bauer. Reception was held at the William and Edith Radle family farm ( parents of Herman). Herman is retired from Pope & Talbot Pulp and Paper Company in Eau Claire, WI. after 35 years of work. Herman grew up on a farm several miles outside Rock Falls. When he wasn't doing chores and going to school some of his favorite things to do were sledding or skating in the winter, hunting year around and finding Indian arrowheads on there land. His favorite hobby was hunting which continued into adulthood and fishing. Herman and Phyllis now spend their retirement between Eau Claire in the summer and fall and Sun City, Arizona in the late fall, winter, and early spring. Herman and Phyllis celebrated their 50th Golden Anniversary on June 14, 2000. HERMAN W. Radle Obit, LeaderTelegram 3-25-07 Herman W. Radle, 80, of Eau Claire died Friday, March 23, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born in Rock Falls on Dec. 31, 1926, the son of William and Edith (Schuch) Radle. Herman married the former Phyllis Knudtson. He worked for the paper mill in Eau Claire for many years as a machinist. Herman enjoyed fishing and wintering in Arizona. His greatest joy was helping others. He was a Mr. Fix-It and a jack-of-all-trades. Herman was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. He was a man of faith. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Gordon (Kathy) Radle, Eau Claire; two daughters, Donna (Greg) Lampman, Eleva, and Jane (Roger) Lecheler, Ellsworth; his grandchildren: Heather (Tony) Mc Donald, Strum, Heath (Carrie) Lampman, La Crosse, Richard Lecheler, Diamond Bluff, Travis Lecheler, Ellsworth, Valarie (Jason) Bauer, Eau Claire, and Jessica Radle, Eau Claire; three great-grandchildren, Kayle, Alexix and Treston; two sisters, Helen Bauer, Eau Claire, and Lucain Bauer, Durand. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, a brother, Kenneth; and a sister, Clarice. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Eau Claire, with the Rev. Eugene Klink officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy. (Highway 12 East) Altoona. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m.
