Toles): "TRAFFIC HURTS ARE FATAL TO 3, Woman Knocked Down by One Car Is Run Over by Another - Three deaths, including that of a mother of 11 children, have been added to the traffic toll in Detroit and vicinity within the last 24 hours. The dead are: MRS LUCY WEDGE, of Redford Township. JOSEPH SIMON, 7668 Girardin Avenue. JOHN ANTOSIEWICZ, 2164 Horton Aveue.
Mrs Wedge was struck and killed by two automobiles at Norborn Avenue and Seven Mile Road, Redford township, at &:20 p.m. Monday. Witnesses said she walked into the side of an automobile driven by Phares Patrick, of Milford Road, during a snowstorm.
Patrick told police he stopped his car. As he got out, he said, he saw another automobile run over the woman's body lying in the road. The driver of the other car, he said, stopped, looked at the woamn and drove away. Police are searching for the driver.
SELLING DOUGHNUTS. Mrs Wedge, at the time of the accident, was selling doughnuts, which she had made at home, from door to door. Her sales for the day were apparently small, for the basket of doughnuts found near her body was nearly full.
Her husband, Joseph, and six children remaining at home depended on her for support. The children are from 6 to 17 years old."
