Note: Annie Mae Jeffers Annie Mae Jeffers, age 64, of Rt. 1, Pioneer, passed away Saturday, November 25, in the Scott County Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of James Harvey Sexton and Nannie Bell Lay. A member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband: Adron Jeffers of Pioneer: Two daughters: Miss Nancy Massey and Miss Rebecca Massey, both of Rt. 1, Pioneer; Two brothers: Monroe Sexton and Chester A Sexton both of Rt. 1, Pioneer; sex sisters: Mrs Bell Cross and Mrs Flora Slay, both of Rt. 1, Pioneer, Mrs Dora Posey and Mrs Betty Bullock , both of Lilburn Georgia, and Mrs Mary Lou Spry and Mrs Sarah Slaven, both of Oneida. A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Annie Mae Jeffers will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. from the Annadel Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Botts and Rev. James Posey officiating. Burial will follow in the Adron Jeffers Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the family home in the Capitol Hill Community after 4 p.m. Monday.
