I guess in order to visit it, you have to play a round of golf! Rose Mary Information of Teels in Young Cemetery Adam H. Teel: Adam Hogan Teel was a son of William and Sarah Teel, and a brother of Rhoda C. McConnell and Emily F. Young. He was born in Texas on Dec 26, 1885, and died Oct 23, 1902. He has a large Woodmen of the World marker at the entrance to the cemetery. There is no evidence that his wife, Eliza Loyd Teel, is buried here. The Teel stones are in line, with Adam H. on the north end, and William on the south end of the western most row, next to the fence. Adam Tinsley Teel: was a son of Adam H. and Eliza Loyd Teel. "Tinsley" was his grandmother's maiden name. His marker says, "Weep not papa and moma for me, for I am waiting in Heaven for thee." His dates are: February 24, 1891, to October 13, 1894. His stone is south of Adam H. Teel. James William Teel: was a son of Adam H. and Eliza Loyd Teel. His dates are August 19, 1887 to November 3, 1888. His inscription reads: "Weep not papa and moma for me, for I am waiting in Heaven for thee." His stone is south of Annie Evaline Teel. William Teel: was the father of Adam H., Rhoda C. McConnell, and Emily F. Young and the husband of Sarah Tinsley Teel, all of whom are buried here. He was born in Wartrace Creek, Highland, Jackson County, Tennessee, on June 1, 1816. His parents were Adam Teel, Jr., who was born in Holland, and Catherine Baker. The Teels lived next to the Tinsleys in Jackson County, Tennessee. They lived in Rusk County, Texas before moving to Collin County. William Teel had a 320 acre headright dated March 8, 1854, in the area of present-day downtown Frisco. He is listed as an "assignee of Wm. McNeil." After 1859 the headright is listed as the William McNeil headright. The Teels continued to live on the Wm. McNeil survey. William Teel has a joint stone with his wife, south of the stone for James William Teel, near the west fence. He died May 11, 1878, of rabies 2 weeks after being bitten by a rabid skunk. Sam Young was the administrator of his estate. Sarah T. Teel: was the wife of William Teel and the mother of Adam H., Rhoda C. McConnell, and Emily F. Young. She was from Jackson County, Tennessee. She was part Indian. There is a story that she saw a snake crossing her path. While the other people were afraid of it, she picked it up and snapped its head off. Her joint stone reads "November 15, 1825, to May 13, 1904." She died of cancer.
