  OBITUARY.
The Adams Globe (Adams, NB) 25 January 1917, page 2.
"Mrs. Susana Swarner was born April 4, 1857, near Dayton, Ohio. While still a small girl she moved to Hector, Morgan Co., Indiana. Here she met and was married to Mr. W. I. WOTEN, Dec. 12, 1878. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. WOTEN moved to Gage Co., Neb., settling on the farm 5 1/2 miles southeast of Adams, which has since been their home. There were born to Mr. and Mrs. WOTEN nine children, four of whom have passed into the beyond. The five living are Claude S. of Scotia, California, Frank A. of Gering, NB., and the Misses Goldie, Sylvia, and Grace, who are still at home. The deceased has one brother living at Burketsville, Ohio, but failing health prevented him from being present at the funeral services. Mrs. WOTEN accepted her Lord as her Saviour about thirty years ago and has ever grown stronger in her faith and love. She was exceedingly happy in the thought that all of her children were safely within the fold of the Master's kingdom. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Adams at 2 p.m. on Friday of last week conducted by Manson E. Miller minister from Kearney, NB., and interment in Hooker cemetery]. May the Lord richly bless and guide husband and children in their sorrow."
